1968

Initial 400HZ compressor range launched in the USA

In 1968, an American company, WELCO Technologies, created the 400HZ compressor range in the United States.

1976

Creation of Welco SA in France

In 1976, WELCO Technologies created WELCO SA, a compressor division in Pontoise, France.

1979

Move to Provence

The production facility is moved to its current location, Le Poët, Provence.

1982

Welco Industries

Welco SA becomes Welco Industries under the direction of Pierre Bourgeois and produces compressors for the French and European markets under licence.

1991

DASSAULT AVIATION

Dassault Aviation chooses Welco Industries to supply the Atlantique 2 refrigerator (used for cooling photographic material and equipment contributing to the success and usefulness of the reconnaissance missions of the ATL2).

1996

Independence

Welco Industries becomes 100% French and acquires the product line and design rights for the Welco compressor range.

2002

Honeywell Secan

Honeywell Secan selects Welco Industries for the supply of a compact rotary compressor for the Tiger Helicopter FLIR ECU

2005

New 400Hz scroll compressor

Welco Industries develops a 400Hz scroll compressor for the LCAC (Landing Craft Air Cushion) air-conditioning unit.

2005

DC Motor-compressors

Welco Industries develops a range of DC motor-compressors.

2011

New CEO

Charlotte Bourgeois takes over the company management after the retirement of her father Pierre Bourgeois.

2016

Pegase Croissance

Welco Industries is selected by Pegase Croissance (a subsidiary of SAFE Cluster) for a 3-year development program.

2017-2018

New development projects

Welco implements key development projects, such as QA certification, ERP system and innovation programs

2020

France Relance Award

In 2020, Welco Industries won the Plan de Relance France award for its transformation project.

2022

New scroll motor-compressor

In 2022, Welco Industries is developing a scroll motor-compressor dedicated to aeronautical applications.

2025

PART21G

In 2025, Welco Industries applied for PART21G approval.
